Welcome to Physical Education

St.  Clement's has a busy year planned for gym class.  Some of the actvities we will be doing include yoga, orienteering,speed stacking and team building.  We will be learning  about healthy eating and how to keep our bodies fit.

Events and Announcements
 
Our physical education program participates in the Box Tops for Education program.  We collected almost $800 in box tops last year.  Our goal this year is $1000.  The money is used to buy gym equipment.  The list of products can be found on their web site www.boxtops4education.com.  Send the box tops in to school with your child, and help us reach our goal.
 
 

 
 
The new school year has begun.  Gym classes have been busy with our fall activities. Fourth and fifth graders are working on football skills.  Second and third graders have been practicing their soccer skills.  Our kindergarten and first graders are participating in various movement education activities. 

Healthy Snack
 
FRUIT DIPPING
* 1 cup applesauce
* 1 cup lowfat yogurt
* Slices of your favorite fruits such as strawberries, apples, bananas, pears, kiwi,
   pineapple or grapes.
 
Combine the applesauce and yogurt in a bowl and mix until well blended.  Pour into a serving bowl and serve with the sliced fruit.

MOVE IT!!!  Remember to be active at least 20 minutes a day.  Run, swim, bike ride, hike,play a ball game.  Don't just sit.
